Lend A Hand is a non-profit organization which has provided financial assistance to low-income families and individuals for over 120 years. Working with social service agencies in the Greater Boston Area, we make emergency and educational enrichment grants to help pay for:
LAH assists over 400 households each year but is not able to help everyone in need. Your donation can help us do more.
- rent to prevent eviction
- heat and electric bills to prevent utility shut-offs
- critical medicines and medical equipment
- eyeglasses and dental care
- camp for inner-city children
- books to lend to adults and children
Applying for Grants
Lend A Hand works in partnership with over 75 non-profit agencies serving the Greater Boston area. Hospitals, legal aid programs, community agencies, educational groups, camping agencies, and other social service organizations can apply for grants to help their clients in need.
